Success Stories Shine the Light on School Safety

It is important to share the ideas, strategies and technologies that work. There are first responders, school administrators, students and community members who are doing good work and are making changes that result in safer school environments. They not only develop techniques to respond to active incidents, they explore technologies and training programs to prevent potential crises.

These success stories are collected here and shared so that other schools can replicate them. What worked in one community can be tweaked by another to achieve positive results.

The stories are also available in our Sharing Ideas and Resources to Keep Our Nation’s Schools Safe! Book series.
